If you want a replacement filter that works don't order this. However, if you do this save yourself some time and keep the Revain packaging box as you will need it if you are returning this in a few days. As ad nauseam in previous reviews, the ball filter does not fit your Dyson 25 vacuum properly. The problem with mine was that the red spring clip sits about 1/8 inch higher than the original. Although the ball cap snaps into place as it rolls, it repeatedly hits the red clip and eventually ejects it, requiring the spring and clip to be reassembled. When I first installed the filter it ran fine but after closing the ball and rotating I could hear and feel rubbing/bumps but didn't see a problem. We used the vacuum and after a few minutes the red clip came loose three times. You only notice this when you compare the original filter side by side and see that the replacement filter clip is positioned higher. I thought it might be the spring pushing the clip too high, but replacing the spring with the original spring didn't fix the problem. It's about how they designed the filter. This seems like an easy fix and I think after all the 1 star reviews (starting almost a year ago) citing an identical issue, the company will fix it. But they don't seem to care, and they continue to produce defective products and take people's money. I've since bought a genuine Dyson replacement, albeit at a much higher price, but at least I know it will work and I don't have to waste my time returning a crappy product. However, many thanks to Revain for refunding my money and a fairly easy return process.
