A long day trip caused tailbone pain. Tried it with minimal air and it fixed the problem. I filled it with air and then sat on a flat surface, deflating until I could almost feel the flat surface through the pillow. It is permanently mounted on the motorcycle. After 1 week of long rides I never felt any pain. I bought this pad because the stitching pattern goes straight through the tailbone area and that's where it puts the least pressure. Worked great. Much luck. Love it and would buy it again.
