I work for a non-profit baby food service and ordered these because we wanted the kids to look sophisticated at a banquet with everyday plastic paraphernalia. The cups are very crisp and nice looking and it's very hard to notice all the hairline cracks in the cups. We didn't realize they had cracks or breaks until we started pouring water and tea into them. About 20 minutes into the event, the table and floor were covered with tea and water. We had to rummage around and buy new cups the night of the banquet and ended up making a sticky mess that delayed the drinks queue by 30 minutes due to all the housekeeping. We ordered 400 cups and were pouring 175-200 drinks when we noticed the mess. The silver rims also peeled and shattered in drinks and on all tables, creating a choking hazard. The pieces were sharp and long. Needless to say we had to test all the mugs before the event and we won't be buying them again. After having time to recover, we got out the remaining mugs and took photos for others to see and consider when purchasing. On a positive note the leaks helped us see the plastic flakes in the drinks and we were able to throw them out before anyone got drunk and hurt.
