I used one of these to add backlighting to my Samsung 55 inch wall mount TV. I cut off a few feet of this strip, cleaned the back of the TV and re-taped the strip. The glowing strip plugs into the USB port on the back of the TV and lights up every time the TV is turned on. It does the job pretty well, although a bit more brightness would be even better. I did and found that the adhesive backing of this strip wasn't sticking properly and had peeled off the surface of the TV cabinet in several places.
