I have Tap Strap 1 and as a heavy user of the previous version I spent a few days testing it before I could pass judgment. Spring. The new design ensures the top of the joints fully engage where they previously had minimal play. I wouldn't say I have huge hands and I want to be clear that the Tap Strap 1 is for me. Well, no matter how hard I tried to set it up, it wasn't possible to get a reliable definition of the finger movements. Whenever I tried to type with a middle finger, it also recognized a ring finger tap half the time. When pressing with the ring finger, the probability of finding the middle finger is 1/5. The air mouse settings - even with the maximum possible adjustment of mouse speed and sensitivity in both the application and the operating system - very regularly jumped about 1 line of text at a time, making precise selection almost impossible. This is combined with the standard gestures, which to be honest aren't very well thought out. For example, to left-click, point and then lift your finger like you're knocking back a pistol. Unfortunately, this means the spot you were trying to click is now gone, and it can take half a second to recognize the "oh gesture" and then try to guess where you were when you clicked wanted to. It would make a lot more sense if the left click instead pointed one finger outward and wrapped the others inward, like a stereotypical pointing and touching thumb with fingers curled in, but that's not how they designed it. The same applies to many other gestures. I would feel very differently if it were just software issues, but to be honest there are also glaring hardware issues that are causing Gen 2 to lag behind Gen 1 as it has lost the ability to print reliably. And unfortunately, for a keyboard, the most important thing is the ability to type. The rest are tricks.
