I bought this cable to replace the portable charge cable that came with my 2013 Chevy Volt. These things weren't exactly made for everyday use, so I wasn't surprised that after eight years of exposure to the South Dakota weather, the plastic casing began to deteriorate. But the timing was good: we had just moved into a new house with a separate garage, and there was enough room in the electrical box to add a 240V socket for faster charging. So I looked around for a plug-in that could handle both 240 and 120: we do quite a lot of volt rides and it's nice to have something that plugs into a regular outlet for a slow overnight charge , when we are parked. at the hotel. The built-in display is handy for confirming the charging speed. For the price, this is a wonderful thing.
