I bought these to wear with snow gloves for extra warmth. They are perfect for this purpose; I can pull off thick mittens when extra dexterity is needed and my fingers don't get cold. The wool fibers are water-repellent, so I just brush the snow off, put my mittens back on, and that's it. I wore this combination today in -20F wind and my hands stayed warm; only with my mittens my hands would be pretty cold. They would be nice to warm up a bit on a not too cold day.
