After explaining what I needed to a Best Buy representative, I bought this converter. There were no assembly instructions and the wiring system for my TV is a bit strange. I have a push button box that can connect all my devices because the TV just doesn't have enough ports. This field is used to change the device used. This system was developed by my late husband who is a total electronics and computer fanatic, which I am not. By looking at the connection from the previous device, I was able to duplicate and test the connection. There is a knob on the side of the converter box, I had to toggle it to get the signal. The new DVD player works great with this system and this cable saved me over $300 on a system Best Buy was trying to sell me.
