Soft metal, dulls very quickly. I cut 3 holes, the first to find out the best bitrate and the second two on my actual part. When I ran the router fast, firewood was burning, slow firewood was burning semi-slow, firewood was semi-fast burning, firewood was burning, and mid-burning was firewood. This product is very low quality and if you use it in pine or other very soft wood you can get 5-10 good holes. But for any medium density wood, I'd be surprised if you got a 4. Very disappointed with this product.
