Defect - not pierced then jammed

Punch did not fully pierce card. As I lifted the handle I noticed there was a gap left, so I used the blade of a plastic knife to close the gap. It worked, but then the stamp got stuck. By the way, spreading the handles does not eliminate the jam, despite the description. To return.
