Review on πŸͺŸ VViViD Shatterproof Security Window Vinyl Film Roll - Clear Protective (Combo Pack of 2-Rolls, 30 Inch x 6.5ft) by Michael Boyle

Foggy, shabby, smaller than advertised. Stay away.

This film makes your windows steam up, dirty and scratched. The adhesive backing is either old or damaged. If you're looking at screen protectors, there's a reason for that. Rather spend a little more, buy something better and be in peace. Not to mention it will look crystal clear. I took a small piece of glass from a photo frame to a professional window shop to film the photo in case I got it wrong. You can see that it still came out very badly and how the glass has fogged up. The protective side of the film was previously worn and scratched, the adhesive side caused the most problems. You can see long 1/4 inch distortions of the adhesive that become very noticeable when applied. My guess is that the foil was stored incorrectly, old or just with bad glue. In addition, the film was damaged due to improper packaging. and the ends of the roll snapped because there was no protection at the ends. Despite the damage, I figured I could work around that, but when I started measuring I found it was 1/2 inch smaller than the listed size. That might not sound like much, but if you add a damaged area it'll be an inch less, and if you're building an entire house, the cost per square foot increases quickly. Result. This is a poor quality product with many flaws. I wouldn't use it on my windows shed. Update: I ended up buying a different brand of film from a different supplier and the difference was day and night. If you remove this foil you can easily see and feel that there is a problem.
