It's not the heaviest docking station, it's smaller and more compact to fit in your pocket. The dock has an integrated Thunderbolt 3 cable, which is great since one of these cables can cost upwards of $30-$40 from a well-known brand like Belkin. You can use a laptop charger by plugging it into the docking station, provided your Thunderbolt 3 laptop uses USB-C Power Delivery for charging. The build quality of this dock is plastic but I find it to be solid and of good quality. I think it will keep well in your laptop bag or on your computer desk at home.
