iPad + This + Corolla = Tesla. like

Wow this thing single handedly turned my Corolla into a Tesla! Not quite, but seeing Tesla's large display in its only console got me thinking. The mount fits snugly in my aftermarket head unit's CD player and seems reasonably stable. It came with two large rectangular metal plates, one with glue and one without. I mounted both on the back of my iPad (using the command strips for non-adhesive ones) a distance equal to what the magnets on the mount are. Now I can get in my car, insert my iPad in a second, and fire up Plex for music and Waze for navigation/traffic alerts. The magnets were actually strong enough to hold an iPad with the smart cover folded back between the plates and magnets, but they weren't strong enough to risk driving it around every day, so I just remove the smart cover. and put it back on as soon as I get to work. Of course, this depends on your car and the position of the CD player, but mine is at the perfect height where it doesn't obstruct your view of the windshield (one of my biggest problems with suction cup mounts). Minor complaints about the same issue: the magnets seem to tilt down a bit over time (we're talking days), and pressing the controls makes it "bounce" a bit. It would be nice if the ball joint connection that connects the magnets to could be tightened to avoid both of these problems. case is returned. Even though my suitcase is translucent, I completely forgot the record was there. I have an extra round plate. It's nice that I have more than I need. Conclusion: Definitely worth €20, if my wife likes it I'll probably buy another one for another car.
