Cannot get the size right

I’m 5’5 and ordered the ‘24-30’ size one time and leggings were labels size S upon arrival. They were a tiny bit tight but nothing too crazy. So I thought I’d try the ‘26-32’ thinking a medium would come. But the pants are labeled L and definitely fit much bigger in the groin area. So I’m just going to stick w the small size since I can’t order a medium.
