Red should be for the RIGHT CHANNEL - Manufacturing Defect
For some reason the manufacturer has been going against the color standard since the early 1970's. I have always seen that the red connector represents the correct channel. So don't connect based on standard color codes or your stereo sound will be respected. Even in their picture they show a flaw. If you look at any competing product, you'll see that red always represents the correct channel. I suggest that the manufacturer repair their product as it is a serious violation of competent electronic stereo standards. If you do this, ignore the color code and use written indicators,
