Review on Lincoln Lubrication 1133 Loading Lever Action by Robert Long

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good shotgun, bleed screw leaves a lot to be desired

I bought mine in 2015 and haven't noticed any of the issues some have said about the fake. But hey, that's why Revain has a return policy, if you're unlucky send this thing back and move on. Pistol grip weapons are certainly useful when you have to fight an uncooperative Zerk - you need to be a Lever Kraken. pistol, and I've ruined more than a pair of pants by trying to clamp a coupler to a fitting while holding a grease gun between my knees. Stop this nonsense. The quality seems to be good. I apply anti-seize to the threads of the pipe, both top and bottom. They seem really good and I didn't want to risk corrosion making my life miserable in the future. Loading is pretty easy, you just pull the plunger back and lock it in place, remove the plastic cap from the grease tube and insert it metal cap/rim up, then remove the metal tab and screw on the top of the gun. . Release the plunger by pulling it out of the notch that snaps it back into place, then push in. Everything is OK. And if you can pump the pistol by pressing the lever, then no problem. But god help you if you need to remove the bleed screw. First of all it's like a 6mm allen key and IDK thought it was a great idea but it isn't. A 10mm socket or 1/4" external hex would be a much better choice. Definitely, as if the 6mm hex wasn't bad enough when it comes out, assuming your piston is pressurized, which in this case you probably are. , be prepared for the grease to come out at high speed, so you basically have to unscrew it by pushing it down, let it flow around the screw, and then quickly screw it back in. the lubricant you use. If #2 and it's cold it probably isn't as much of an issue compared to 0 or 00 and/or warmer/hotter. made a hell of a mess. But then again, it's a very thin lube, so that's to be expected. Is the level system a deal killer? No, because otherwise it's a good gun at a good price, and if you've always wanted to throw a cheap auto parts store grease gun over your neighbor's fence, you can appreciate having a good gun. I just hate it that they didn't integrate a better venting system m. One day I'll remove the screw and try to find some kind of valve, or maybe I'll just live with it. I don't change grease tubes often enough to get annoyed about it. I also highly recommend Lock-N-Lube fittings. You look at the price and think it's crazy to spend as much on this thing as you do on this gun, but I'm here to tell you that this thing WORKS. Even on DSLRs where it shouldn't work, it was 100%. It's one of those tools that will make you cringe when you buy it, and then every time you use it you'll be so happy you have it. In any case, this $30 gun works very well, just ignore the flaws in the venting system.
