I first bought it in December 2019 and have been using shampoo and conditioner most of the time since then for maintenance. I recently bought another set as it ends in May 2020. Properties: Great shampoo. It cleans and cleans well if not added too much. Because it doesn't lather as aggressively as a liquid shampoo, it's easy for a beginner to apply too much. Rinse well. Mediocre air conditioning. I was considering buying this shampoo with a different conditioner. It's not very moisturizing. Use more than you think you need if you have curly or unruly hair. You won't run out of shampoo anyway. Odour: Pleasant light fragrance. Light enough for me and I usually prefer unscented products. However. The scent will still attract mosquitoes! Fair warning if you intended this for camping. Product form: absolutely idiotic. As it is essentially a slightly tapered cylinder with rounded ends, it is not possible to easily hold the product with wet hands. I swear I've never showered without the air conditioner slipping out of my hand. These rods seriously need angles. I contacted the manufacturer about this and they explained that the shape was a 'feature' to make it easier to hold and gave me a 'lesson' on how to hold it. Serious? Are you kidding me? sadness forever. If this is their claim, then their efforts have failed utterly. I've tried many, many shampoos and this is the only brand that is difficult to hold onto in the shower. It looks like the shape was just a way to clearly differentiate the product from the competition. In that cosmetic sense, they succeeded Packaging: The packaging is over the top. Yes, yes, I know it's better than plastic. However, due to the unusual shape of the product, the packaging is twice the size of similar products of the same weight (e.g. Ethique brand). How to use: Wet hair, apply shampoo or conditioner to scalp (shampoo) or ends (conditioner), then immediately place bars out of shower. Then massage the product into your hair. For shampoo, I part my hair horizontally with my fingers and run a strip along the scalp near the back of the head, ears and crown of the head. For the rest of my hair, the cleaning products are sufficient. Make the most of your bobby pins: I put bobby pins on top of bandanas for storage (they're great for travel, too). It would also be nice to use a raised soap dish. As a result, the product lasts for several months. To do: Keep the wands out of the shower spray and air dry outside of the shower stall if you want to get your money's worth. If they're constantly wet, they'll just melt. I normally wash my shoulder length wavy hair every other day and have been for the past five months. Good value for money.
