Update after full reinstall: The original sensor works so well I didn't have to use an upgrade kit! let me explain. I bought an IR repeater remote control extender kit from BAFX Products. I was concerned about the distance. Main sofa at 15 feet is ok. The kitchen is 30 feet further. I figured I would need it and even attach wires to it. As it turns out, the original repeater sensor (same as in this kit) works great in the kitchen from 30 feet away. So in a package. Works so well you might not even need it!
