I purchased this specifically to fix Corsair's lighting node shutdown and it actually works. From what I've learned from reading various forums, your motherboard has limited bandwidth on the internal USB 2.0 headers. If you connect Commander Pro or other peripheral devices to these jacks, the amount of current delivered to these jacks will decrease as more devices are connected. Therefore, when you connect your Commander Pro, RGB hub and water pump, the mobile device will not be able to provide sufficient power to these data connections, resulting in a disconnect. You should also note that the Corsair Commander Pro's USB ports are mostly unusable. You can try to see if the nzxt hub that powers the coprocessor lets the USB sockets on the coprocessor work, but I don't have that connection and I won't cause another potential problem. I have the following setup: water pump to mobo 1 connector, nzxt hub to mobo 2 connector, copro to nzxt hub, pro lighting node to nzxt hub. My problem was that when all the LEDs in my system went white, the lighting node would cycle off and on indefinitely. The nzxt hub has solved this problem and will probably help you stop the disconnection as well, whether it's a copro or other device. Recommend this to anyone trying to fix this disconnection issue. Ignore the reviews saying it fried their system. As long as you connect the cables properly, your rig should power up and everything should be on.
