Review on Sierra 58255P Tach 7K Amega by Tony Kingdom

Easy to install as instructions are included. Pretty close to the Mercury Verado I replaced, except for the "Q" at the bottom of the dial. I didn't get a chance to test it right away since the boat was in the garage for the winter, but I changed the engine oil and was able to get it working by putting it in a cut-down 55-gallon drum. I have the ability to see the engine parameters on my fish finder so I can compare the RPM reading on the new rev counter with the fish finder and they both show the same thing so I am very happy with my purchase. I wish the description had the important measurements (3.25″ bezel) and gauge body diameter (3.3125) and depth (2.875″), but I assumed it would fit. Also, sellers don't seem to take photos of the rear electrical connections on their products so we can compare what we have to what we buy. It would be a real advantage for the buyer to be able to compare one product with another. The photos show a Mercury gauge but this replacement must have been made by the original manufacturer as all data is the same.
