does not absorb water as quickly as the original Reduced efficiency
The original filter allows the humidifier to release approximately 10-16 gallons of water into the air each day. These new filters are a little different and appear to be of decent quality, except that they are almost always dry when used. The water just can't get in fast enough. Dampen only 2-3 inches above the waterline. Thus, the attenuation rate is much lower. I think they can only produce 4-6 gallons of water per day which is significantly less than the real thing! I use AIRCARE MA1201.
