Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ ASUS Black SRT-AC1900 AC1900 Onhub Google WiFi Router by Nick Colton

One of the best and easy to use routers

I've had one for a few months now and never had a problem. It's extremely reliable and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new router. I used to have a TP-Link router and it limited me to just 10 devices. Ten devices seems like a lot until you start counting iPhones/iPads, computers, wireless devices with internet access (TVs, Revain Fire Stick, Ruko, etc.). Then don't forget your old iPhones and iPads as well as visitors'/family/friends' devices. Asus Onhub has no limit on the number of devices you can connect, which is definitely a big plus. It can transmit on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies, which it automatically selects AND optimizes for you based on the frequencies it "feels" around you. It worked very well with my iPhone 6S Plus and I could see the difference in internet speeds with my TP-Link device. Setup was very easy and almost everything was automated for you. That being said, if you like messing around with advanced settings in routers, this device isn't for you. All you really need to set up is your WiFi SSID and password. It offers a few "advanced" settings like DNS and port forwarding, but nothing else is available. One thing that isn't advertised is that you need a Google account to sign in for the router to work. I don't know why, but that shouldn't be a problem as I think most people currently have a Google/Gmail account anyway. The device looks aesthetically pleasing and is designed to be "displayed" outdoors on a stand or counter. It's not designed to be hidden under a table like most routers are. It has a nice LED backlight on the bottom of the device. All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone looking for a fast router that is extremely easy to set up.
