In point of fact, the above two flaws were the cause of the first cracked screen I've ever had with any smartphone I've owned. The phone has a tendency to break easily. Both my wife and I managed to keep our S7s completely intact despite having them for two years, during which time we dropped them hundreds of times. We both upgraded to the Galaxy S9, and within the first two months of owning the phone, both of them developed cracks on the back glass. Exactly one month ago, after each of them had owned the phone for six months, the display broke on both of them. This did not happen by accident; the customer service representative explained that the glass on this model is extremely thin and fragile, and that any drop could be the device's last. Replacing the display module, by the way, costs approximately one-third of what the device itself does. It is strongly recommended that you do not give serious consideration to buying this product if you, like me, do not carry your phone in bumpers or any other crap of the sort.
