This product seemed like a great solution to allow meeting attendees to output a laptop to a TV hanging on the wall in the conference room. Unfortunately, it looks like the HDMI connector is NOT the same as the short length of HDMI cable. When we connect the device and then connect the device to the TV, unexpected colored pixels appear on the TV screen (see image). If you go directly from the laptop to the TV, everything looks perfect. We've bought a few of these devices and have had the same results on all of them. So something is wrong with the device. We tried different TVs and cables, including "high-end" HDMI cables. Given that was the main reason for buying this device (as opposed to less expensive non-HDMI options) and it doesn't perform as advertised, we certainly don't recommend it. That. Unfortunately, we only found this out after the return period had expired, so we got stuck with them. We contacted the manufacturer via email support (pwrplug@gmail.com) and received no response.
