Review on Runtasty - The Ultimate No.1 Hydration Belt Winner by Justin Olson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall very satisfied, 2 hands required to change bottle

Took this for a couple of 9 mile runs and a couple of shorter runs. In general I am very satisfied. The foldable phone case is great and combined with the good fit, decent materials and price it's a winner. The cell phone pocket kept my cell phone dry for a few kilometers even in unexpected continuous rain. i don't jump I prefer to wear it backwards, low on my hips so it doesn't bounce. I've worn it on the side and front and it feels good in those areas too. If I were designing it just for myself I would do bottle holders on the back and a phone pocket on the front. And I would make the bottle holders detachable for runs if I need a phone holder but not water. I find it harder to get the bottles in and out of the holder, I can still do it while walking but I could do it one handed with my old Nathan harness. My Nathan bottles (which don't fit in these holders, rats) have a wider mouth and a less slippery, more rubbery lid, while this belt has smaller smooth hard plastic lids. Nathan's bottles are much easier to grab when retrieving. Also, the bottle holder on my Nathan belt is hard plastic (while it's reinforced dive fabric), making it easy to clip the bottle back with one hand while running. With this strap I have to secure the holder with one hand and insert the bottle with the other. But since I can still do it while running, this belt will work for me. I also hope to get better with practice.
