I have three of these Hoover vacuums, all 5's or older. The pickup lowered and the brush motor stopped at two units. Simply press the brush head release button, remove the old head and put on the new head. The device has significantly increased the performance of the pickup. It worked so well that I have ordered a second unit and will probably receive a third in a few months.
