Purchased for a bulldog mix who has a neck that appears to be larger than her head and has a tendency to slip out of other collars we have purchased just doesn't happen. It is durable, well tailored and has a strong buckle closure. I would say this is a good collar especially for stocky breeds but can be a bit heavy for some small dogs. My dog finds it comfortable and likes to wear it all the time. Would have given 5 stars but the paint on the lining bleeds when wet, it is black and my dog's neck is white, the paint took forever to come off her coat, the dark brown leather top surface did not bleed. Overall I would recommend this collar, yes you pay more initially but it will probably last longer than some cheaper nylon dog collars and the leather is of good quality with no sign of stiffness or cracking as long as you take care of it and dry it when it does gets wet it seems like it should last a long time.
