Use multiple pieces of tape instead of one long piece that you can just roll up in one motion, add super glue to the ends of each section of tape if you want to get really crazy about security. Tuck a wire under the tape if you're about to stop someone with a razor or scissors and you're officially safety-mad and welcome to my world.
