Review on 🌬️ Thermaltake Slim X3 Low Profile CPU Fan Review & Specs: Intel LGA775/1156/1200 (CLP0534) by Adrian Woodside

I was a bit worried when I bought this CPU cooler. I have a small sealed ITX case. 8 hard drives. The previous CPU cooler kept a pleasant 60°C. The processor sometimes reached 90C. I needed something better than the not so famous brand I was using. I put this in and the CPU stays in the 40C range. Very, very satisfied. I didn't have much space between the processor and the power supply. It fits well. I use it in a 24/7 Windows Home Server 2011 and a Lian Li Q-25 ITX case. I use Box to stream media and family files. When streaming movies, the CPU temperature reaches the range of 45-50°C. She has never exceeded 60C! I used Artic Silver thermal paste, applied a thin layer of credit card and pressed it against the 1155 motherboard. IMHO the quality of the thermal paste is just as important to your CPU cooling as the CPU cooler. Don't go cheap! (or use the one that came with the cooler).
