Review on 💪 Optimized Vengeance Performance Memory Kit by Steven Pankey

My 2019 G7 7790 came with 16GB which is good for most games but I was really taxing the system when streaming to Twitch or filming videos. /editing/etc. I think more RAM is the most economical way to improve performance in situations like this. I saw no need to go crazy with the G7 and its niche as a mid-range gaming laptop (I usually want to stream games and capture games, don't have a workstation-class laptop). It helps inform my decision that I didn't want to work too hard (i.e., not at all) on overclocking RAM here. In any case, the G7 BIOS isn't very conducive to such things, so a memory card with good plug-and-play performance was a priority. Vengeance showed up here, it was $10 off, so the decision was made. The storage works great. The G7 can be a little finicky about storage, especially RAM (and the line doesn't play well with XMP), so another argument in favor of Vengeance and Ballistix (Ballistix uses XMP, and it can give the G7 some headaches, at least mine does opinion). The latency here is slightly lower (but still clearly comparable) with the factory memory (Factory - 19-19-19-43, Vengeance in my G7 - 18-19-19-39). NO BIOS SETUP REQUIRED - everything is automatically reconfigured at boot and after very little effort (mainly using Alienware Command Center and various other performance monitors) I was pleased to have 32GB of stable, performance-oriented memory running at 2666MHz. I'm also very pleased to learn that Corsair tests these memory cards in pairs and then sells them as tested pairs rather than individually. It's kind of an important thing. The proof is in the pudding - Shadow of the Tomb Raider streamed flawlessly on high video settings, as well as recording. For a pretty reasonable price in the end (really 32GB RAM seems to cost more than it is) I doubled the raw amount of factory installed memory with (imo) a better brand that is more than adequate for tasks I use it for is . Very good product and I'm really excited.
