I sharpen my woodworking and turning tools pretty well. I love water stones and have had 1000, 3000 and 8000 stones and had great results with them. So I was a little hesitant to spend a lot of money on a 16000 stone and so far it's the best money I've ever spent. on whetstones. The iron on my Lie Nielsen Low Angle Jack needed some work. So I toned it down with a Shapton 16000 and achieved a sharpness that is significantly higher than anything I've ever done.
