V-shaped headphones vary in taste. I personally don't really like it and I think it's overdone. Don't get me wrong these are good headphones but they are just overpriced IMHO. They are good for people who like V-shaped sound signatures and bassheads. The vocals aren't great, but that's to be expected. They're fine for gaming, but don't expect them to replace your headset if you buy one with a mic, as they're open and let 100% of the noise through, so no matter how good it is, your mic picks it up. To be honest they sound the same as the shp9500 just a little more tuned which makes them meaningless as long as the shp9500 is around. I used them on a Topping D90 with an A90 amp.
