That works first. the best data storage

In the last month I've had 3 WD hard drives fail, all while the computer was on. They just go away and when I restart my computer I can't get past the BIOS or boot into Windows. I had to remove them. Recover as much data as possible as they are all listed as invalid when I put them on external drives. WD drives from 2006 (500GB), 2007 (640GB) and now 2008 (750GB). I loved WD drives so my PC only had WD drives. My computer still has 2 WD 1TB drives, green and black, that I've gotten over the last 3 years. I bought a 2TB from Seagate two weeks ago because the first two WD drives died and I had to look for storage to restore the files. I bought this CD because I can't afford the only one at the moment. Hopefully it lasts me a few more years, they just don't do it the way they used to. Miscellaneous: It's funny that I wrote to Seagate many years ago about various series on the HDD and on the box. So it doesn't surprise me that WD is playing the same game today. There is no point in getting a hard drive warranty as all data will be lost unless you get a free data recovery service; The hard drive will keep dying and there is nothing you can do about it. I loved WD because when all my maxtor hard drives crashed one after the other for the last time only wd kept working, I guess now it's WD's turn.
