I do longer solo day trips and I carry a raincoat, some water, lunch, tire repair supplies, a spare tube, bike tools, etc. I wouldn't want to get stuck anywhere when I could escape somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. It worked well for me even on hot days. I also use it for fitness hikes in the mountains. Fits me well, I'm 6ft 1in, 195 lbs. Fits snugly to the back when riding or hiking. Fairly aerodynamic, doesn't bother me much in crosswinds. Strap can be tightened/secured so they don't burst on the go. Good organization of pockets for my phone, keys, tools, GPS etc. Enough room for what I'm carrying, don't carry too much Carry a lot with me Like and magnetic hydration tube holder, easy to use on the bike.
