First, new cartridges require a chip transfer from the original HP cartridge. For some reason, many negative reviewers didn't realize this when purchasing the product. Is it hard to do? Not really. Instructions are clear, tools are provided. If that's too much hassle, then spend the extra $300 and get super priced genuine HP cartridges. Second, you get an annoying reminder from your computer that the cartridge is low and needs to be replaced, but you are more than willing to accept that. a little hassle to save $300. The print quality corresponds to the original. Finally, I made several purchases from trueimagesupplies.com and they all showed that the company really cares about their customers. They sent out a replacement toner cartridge very quickly when the batch was found to be defective. No hassle, no paperwork, new toner within days. Every communication with the company ended with a timely positive response.
