The orange plastic cover must be removed before installing a new cartridge. To do this, move the green lever. Unfortunately my lever broke and I couldn't remove the orange cap from the cartridge. What to do? Luckily I still have the orange cap with the green grip from my used cartridge. Swapped the new handle for the old one and it worked! I was able to unlock the orange cover and then insert the cartridge into the printer. Moral of the story: don't throw away the old lid. You never know when you'll need it. Otherwise the ink is just great. So 4 instead of 5 stars.
