This is faulty. When transferring data to disk, there is a long pause before the transfer starts, and then the speed varies from 0 to 27MB/s, sometimes stopping at 0 before starting again. When transferring data from a hard drive, it takes a long time to prepare the transfer, sometimes up to 10 minutes, and then the same speed change problem as mentioned above occurs during this process. And sometimes the transfer hangs indefinitely even though the activity light keeps blinking as if the disk is processing. I've tried using the drive on different computers and also formatting it with the default settings (exFAT) as well as FAT32. Nothing improved the situation. I have 32, 64 and 128GB versions of this drive. The write speeds of the 64 and 128 GB models are noticeably slower than the 32 GB models, but neither exhibit the erratic transfer rate behavior of the 256 GB model. Very disappointed with this product.
