I was looking for a hydration option for long runs - carrying a bottle in my hand for hours on end drove me crazy, the straps bounced and chafed constantly and the backpack options always looked too big or bulky. Glad I tried! Even though it's bigger, it's light, breathes well and the extra space is gained by the handle. For my marathon, I easily carried half a dozen gels, my phone, subway cards and ID, and a pair of sunglasses in my front pockets. Good setting and options, I recommend.
