(See photo) Some experience tips for a successful installation: 1. Plan and lay out before sticking the double-sided tape to the surface. 2. Each piece has a top and bottom. The band naturally goes along the bottom. When separated from each other, the top and bottom parts are very similar. See closeup. when you add them to the surface on which they are to be installed. This is because the ports that the tops snap into create a 1/2 inch gap when the two mating tops snap into place. With the tops and connectors in place, there are no visible gaps with this arrangement. 4. If mounting to a ceiling or corner, leave approximately 1/8 inch between the bottom and corner faces. This leaves enough room for the top and connector to snap together and fit flush into the corner.5. Wait until you reach the last piece leading to the corner or end of the run before cutting to length. This will give you more accurate measurements when the rest of the run is already in place. The tops are clip-on or snap-on and can be easily removed and replaced if needed. Once snapped in, everything is held securely.
