Review on 🎧 SP-USB Transcription Headset with Volume Control by Spectra by Ross Bagby

This is my second Spectra USB transcription headset - the first lasted just over 8 years at 40+ hours a week! (The right speaker on my first pair died, so technically I can still use them, but the sound is only coming from one side). I do notice that the wiring is a bit thicker than my old Spectra headset and the volume control feels like the buttons are a little better quality - it's hard to describe, but they feel more responsive/substantial, but feel identical to. On my old Spectra I had to press the volume button(s) multiple times, on this one I just press and hold the volume button(s) to get the volume I want (multiple presses work of course!). The sound quality is excellent for voice transcription. Voices are crisp and clear (depending on the recording quality of the file I'm transcribing, of course!) Note that this type of headset is designed to rest more or less *at* the entrance of your ear canal, not *in* your ear Channel. They don't fit in your ear canal like music headphones do, nor are they designed to. When they're *on* the entrance of your ear canal, they don't restrict airflow (like the ear tips you put in your ear do), reducing the risk of long-term hearing damage, infection, hot ears, etc. I still have that style never used, it may seem strange at first. Came with a small cloth pouch and additional foam covers. I'm pretty sure they will keep me for another 8 years - I hope so because I'm retiring in 7 years! It would be great if I never had to buy a headset again! LAUGH OUT LOUD!
