Unfortunately I measured my son's feet carefully following McDavid's instructions and ordered 2 XL McDavid 422 double disc joints. When they arrived they were so tight they didn't fit even if we both tugged/pulled on the staples. I should have followed my instinct and ordered XXL knee pads for both legs, but I measured and followed the manufacturer's recommendation. So now I have 2 brand new knee pads that do not fit, cannot be used or can be returned. So I advise future buyers to be careful. If yours, like my two braces, are useless, you just threw away almost a hundred dollars, sorry!
