Let me start by saying that I am an avid weightlifter with 2 years of bodybuilding experience. As far as whey protein goes, I've tried everything from Body-Fortress. to paleo food. Blue Bonnets Whey Protein is by far the best. I eat all organic, so after using most of the supplements I wanted to find something that would work with my diet. However, Blue Bonnets Whey Protein is not "organic". It does not have a USDA seal of approval, and Blue Bonnet does not state anywhere on the packaging that it is organic. However, all ingredients are 100% natural, no artificial sweeteners/flavors are added and the whey comes from cows that have not been treated with rBGH or antibiotics. It is also gluten free for those who have such an intolerance. In my experience, this is the closest product that can come close to being organic without actually being labeled 'organic'. This product contains what the Blue Hood calls a "Dual Action Protein". Simply put, the blend contains both "whey protein isolate" (fast-digesting) and "micellar casein" (slow-digesting whey-like protein). Whey Protein Isolate is quickly absorbed by the body after training. Casein is absorbed much more slowly and helps rebuild muscles throughout the day, even during moments of inactivity. Something like "extended release" if you will. Blue Bonnet's Dual Action Whey Protein outperforms others due to its much higher gram-to-scoop ratio. Most whey proteins advertise "50 grams of protein per serving!". However, upon closer inspection, the label shows that 2 scoops are needed for a full serving. This is inefficient and not very economical. Blue Bonnet's Dual Action Whey Protein provides 26g protein/34g scoop per serving. That means 2 scoops provide 52g of protein. This is the best concentration and value of any natural whey protein powder in my opinion. The 2.1-pound pack contains 28 servings, which works out to about $1.59 per scoop. This whey protein is very easy to mix and tastes great. I've tried all the flavors and highly recommend the chocolate. Strawberries were a little lacking, but the choice is yours. If you are new to bodybuilding or just want to try something new, I recommend Blue Bonnet's Dual Action Whey Protein. Note: This product is sold by weight, not volume. This means that only half of the tub is filled. Don't worry, you're still getting your 2.1 pounds.
