AKG - Great Sound Quality!

Purchased as a replacement for headphones. Since we knew for sure they were from AKG, there was no problem with the sound quality. Outstanding highs and mids and amazing clarity at low frequencies. Doesn't distort even when the volume is turned up, and best of all they don't shift the soundscape EQ when the volume is turned up, meaning bass and mids stay at their constant levels rather than flattening out. so as not to distort at higher volumes, but thereby compensate for the depth and quality of the sound. With these AKGs, that's excellent. So I would give 6 stars out of 5 for the sound quality as there is no change in the soundscape or any kind of distortion. They can certainly serve as reference headphones, since no artificial sound changes improve them. Absolute purchase recommendation - top price-performance ratio! The sound is far superior to comparable headphones from other brands. The only thing I would worry about with extended use is that they have 2 wires - 1 for each earbud. And that's exactly what I would have feared because of the broken contacts inside after prolonged use. Therefore, I recommend using them carefully so that they last longer. Equivalent headphones from other brands tend to have a two-wire connection as well, and I'd suggest taking the same precautions for extended use. However, I would like these connections to be made on one side only and also with a detachable cable/connector system. In the event of a wire break, only the wire would have to be replaced. I know for sure that this is not an expensive thing at the production stage and if all this can cost maybe $5 more but it will make the headphones last forever. (In 9 out of 10 cases it is always cables) and their terminal connections are to blame for the failure. So you can't always say the production was bad. Who knows how the cables will get tugged and tugged in normal use.) Overall , I like the sound quality.
