Works well - no easy way to check battery status

Unit works as described. There is an on/off button which, when turned off, serves as a lock mode. The little flash was a nice addition as I don't have to carry a flashlight with me. It is not bright at all, but is used to illuminate the immediate area or as a safety lamp. There is a strap that is big enough that I think you can put it around your neck. The only problem is that the device shakes a lot when walking. To check the receiver's battery, you need to press the button and see how many times it beeps. Not very friendly.
