Review on ๐Ÿ‘ถ RONBEI Baby Bassinet: Adjustable Bedside Sleeper for Newborns, Infant Boys, and Girls - Dark Grey by Laura Decker

Extreme choking hazard and terrible quality. Protect your child - DO NOT buy this.

I strongly encourage you to look at another bassinet. We chose it based on a number of factors including great reviews. In particular, we have a very high bed and I wanted to make sure our bassinet was as high as possible. It was awful from the start. My husband unpacked and started assembling as I was heavily pregnant when we received this. When I saw it it was 3/4 assembled and they sent the wrong color (we ordered dark grey, got light grey). It was annoying, but largely didn't matter, and it was too much of an ordeal for an exchange based on it. 2. We have a tight space for it. there is exactly 3 inches of space between the bassinet and the wall pushed all the way up to our bed. When assembling it I noticed that it can sway slightly from side to side (despite saying it may be a separate cradle). It lacks lateral support and my toddler, although tight, can rock it when kicking. It is claimed to come with 2 blades. It was not. Only one. And their sheet is very cheap material.4. Finding sheets for this bassinet is a nightmare. I'm not exaggerating when I say we tried 11 different companies and sizes and nothing worked. Burt's Bees Mini Cheat Sheets come closest, but even then there are problems5. The mattress for it is awful and frankly I'm afraid there is a suffocation hazard. It's essentially a piece of soft foam wrapped in smooth vinyl. It has absolutely NO rigidity which makes it a HUGE risk because it's easy to pick up and take out. Our little one is now 5 months old and has found that she can lift the corner of the mattress and pull it over her face or tuck it under her body when she rolls over. Also, because it's so brittle and soft (unlike spiel and spiel which usually have a hard board), the boards cause the corners of the cradle to twist (again, a serious safety hazard)6. In the end everything is wrong! It's not a build issue. The cradle itself is a one-piece piece, and everything slopes down towards the zipper. With the top bar secured, when the zip is down, the incline is only about 5 degrees, and when the bar is up and the entire device is closed and zippered, the incline is 3.5 degrees. We've tried putting something under our feet to elevate that side to counteract the tilt, but it all makes it more wobbly. When our little one was new and had her bedtime diaper changed, I folded the flannel blankets in long layers under the mattress to counteract tipping because it kept her from turning or shifting. And now that she's older and sometimes sleeps on her side and stomach we've removed them all for fear she'd pull them up and find out because when she bends over she often presses her face against the crevice first on this page. I hate hate hate this cradle. Lots of sleepless nights and worrying about lots of problems, not to mention the hassle of finding the right sheets. We can't afford to buy a new one and she's not old enough to be in her own crib yet so we're just stuck it seems. Seriously, do yourself a favor - don't buy, subscribe, or even consider this as an option for your little one. I honestly don't know why there are so many good reviews.
