We wanted to get rid of the mess of three separate plant stands under the double window so we replaced all three with a long, narrow block and it is one big improvement. As other reviewers have noted, the assembly instructions are useless. I'm usually good at assembling kits, but with this device I had to take things apart and start over. Also - and I admit it's my fault - when I first put the flower pot on the tempered glass countertop, it scratched the glass very badly. I have now ordered some cork discs to put under the pots. Overall, I am satisfied with this "console table".
