I got this dog cooling mat because it's summer and my dog gets very hot, he is a long haired German shepherd. I wanted it for the back seat of my car when we travel. At first it seemed very cool and I had high hopes for it. When I drove 3 hours several times, I kept a cooling mat on the back seat that completely covers it. This works really well to keep the seat clean but after a while it got hot and my dog was choking 75% even though the air was on and he was sitting on his cooling mat. I really felt it to see if it was cool and really hot almost like he was heating up instead of cooling down and felt like he was sitting on a warm blanket.
