Revain does a great disservice when they group different sized products into reviews and questions that aren't relevant. My review is for the 2.75-3.5.6 inch collar only. I have a Solomon Islands eclectus and this size is great for the neck but the next size up is plastic which is very thick and heavy for my birds. If they made 8 inches in the same weight it would be perfect. but you know what it can be like to buy certain things for the birds. in any case they are good. The bird will likely rip off all the foam around the cutout for a while, and you'll need to buy some collars to replace them so they don't cut their throats on the remaining sharp plastic. Their necks will suffer and will likely result in permanent deformity of the cervical vertebrae due to the weight being carried on the neck. However, this will help them avoid plucking feathers that they can no longer reach. A diameter of 6 inches only prevents feathers that can reach it from being plucked or killed. If they can get at the primary wing or tail feathers, they will destroy them and you will need to purchase a larger diameter collar that is too heavy for their body. This isn't necessarily Amazon's fault - it's a serious product design flaw on the part of the manufacturers. But if you have pliers, what's worse? a hairless chicken or a bird that can't hold its head up because of the weight wrapped around it? birds. Crazy Creatures!
