Firstly, I like the 3rd gen point very much. It looks great and works very well with one exception. The exception for me is the loud humming in the connected speaker due to the HF. I'm a radio amateur and when I replaced my 2nd Gen Dot in my ham radio shack with this new one, I started hearing a very loud buzzing noise in the Sonos speaker that was plugged into the Dot's output. When I reinstalled the old 2nd generation version, the noise was completely gone. Thus, it turns out that the new top of the 3rd generation is not as shielded as the previous model. This may not affect many people, but if you have an RF source near one of your 3rd Gen Points, you may have the same problem.
