My first impressions of this vacuum were mixed. But after a few weeks of training I'm very disappointed. First the positive points for which I ordered it. - Lightweight - Maneuverable - Reaches flat under furniture - Easily converts into a small portable unit. And now to the shortcomings that I only noticed when vacuuming. - Noisy. This device is very noisy. Ear piercing, whining, loud. If you use it for anything other than a quick clean, you'll go numb. - The cable is too short. The product description says "extra long" cable but doesn't mention actual size. The cable is only 13 feet. To vacuum an area of 600 square feet I have to plug it into 3 different outlets. - No reusable dust bag. Nowhere in the product description does it say that this device uses disposable bags. Okay I can live with that it's not a deal breaker but I need to be able to buy more bags. There is no information on how to order additional bags. There is no bag model number. Cannot find anything on the IRIS website. Nothing in the manual. Yes, there are 25 sachets included, but they are tiny sachets that fill up after a few uses. I've been experimenting with emptying one of them to see if they can be reused. No not at all. And not very practical. - Strength. It picks up dust well, but when you need to pick up something heavier than Cheerio, it stays on the ground. As soon as the bag starts to fill up, the performance decreases. - overheating. If you turn on the device for more than 5 minutes, it will start to overheat and emit a faint electrical smell. For casual use, some may find this device acceptable. But for the price I expect more from a vacuum cleaner.
